Effective: June 2026
At Navégalo we respect your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect when you visit navegalo.com or use our forms and client portal, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it.
The controller responsible for your data is Navégalo, located at San José, Costa Rica. For any privacy matter you can reach us at legal@navegalo.com or by phone at +506 4020-4000.
When you complete a contact form, request a quote, or use the client portal, we collect the details you provide — such as your name, email, phone, company, and the contents of your message. For the client portal we also manage your login credentials.
We use a first-party analytics tool (not a third-party advertising service) to understand how the site is used. For each visit we record:
This analytics is cookieless: we do not place tracking cookies in your browser and we do not follow you across other websites.
From the IP address we may identify the network operator or organization associated with a visit (for example, the internet provider or company). This helps us understand which businesses are interested in our services. It does not identify individual people unless you provide your details through a form.
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We use only the essential storage needed to run the site — for example, a session cookie to process forms securely and to keep you signed in to the client portal — and a temporary session identifier for the analytics described above.
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with providers that process it on our behalf and under our instructions, in categories such as:
Some of these providers operate outside Costa Rica, so certain data may be processed internationally. We may also disclose data where required by law.
Detailed analytics records are kept for approximately 90 days; after that they are deleted or retained only in aggregate form (statistics that no longer identify individual visits). Lead and client data is kept for as long as there is a business relationship or a legitimate interest in following up, and as required by applicable law.
Under Costa Rica's Law No. 8968 on the Protection of Individuals Regarding the Processing of their Personal Data, you have the right to access your data, correct it, request its deletion, and object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, write to us at legal@navegalo.com. We will respond within the timeframes set by the applicable regulations.
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption of sensitive information and access controls. No system is completely infallible, but we work to safeguard your information responsibly.
Our site and services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or in the law. We will post the current version on this page with its update date.
